Nigel Redman made four appearances during the successful 1997 tour to South Africa, making his debut against the Golden Lions.
Left out of the original touring party, Redman was an injury replacement for Doddie Weir after the Scotland lock picked up a serious knee injury in the early Tour clash with Mpumalanga.
He made his England debut in November 1984 against Australia and made his 20th and final appearance 13 years later against the same opponent.
The lock made 350 career appearances for Bath and scored 35 tries during his 15 years at The Rec.
