Pat Quinn toured with The British & Irish Lions in 1955 as they faced South Africa, in a close series eventually drawn 2-2.
Quinn, a centre and full-back, did not feature in any of the Test matches on Tour, although he did earn five England caps in 1954 as his reputation as a creative, yet powerful player gathered momentum.
A dual-code player, Quinn scored a try in the 1957 Challenge Cup final as his Leeds side beat Barrow 9-7 – while he also played league for county side Lancashire.
