Scrum-half Paul Murray was already an experienced international when he was called upon by the Lions for the 1930 Tour of Australia and New Zealand.
The Wanderers player had three years of international experience with Ireland, making his debut in 1927.
He would play for his country until 1933 when he collected his final cap against Scotland in a Home Nations game at Lansdowne Road, a match Ireland lost 8-6.
