Giant Scottish lock Peter Stagg played in three of the four Test matches against South Africa in 1968, where the Lions lost 3-0.
He played in 11 matches overall on the Tour and featured alongside Willie John McBride in the second row for all three Test appearances.
The English-born 6ft10 player made his Scotland debut in 1965 against France and represented them 28 times until 1970, when he made his final appearance against Australia in Sydney.
He played club rugby for Sale and later moved to Zambia, where he played for the African country in their first-ever international against the East Africa touring team in 1975.
