Irish front row Phil Orr went on two Lions Tours, making a total of 17 appearances in the famous red jersey.
In 1977 the Dublin-born prop was called up to his first Tour, travelling to New Zealand, just a year after making his debut for Ireland.
Orr played 12 times on his first Tour, making his debut in the first game, a 41-13 victory over Wairarapa/Bush, as well as the first Test, which they lost 16-12.
In 1980 Orr made a further five appearances, scoring a try into the bargain as the Lions travelled to South Africa.
Away from the Lions Orr was, at the time, the Ireland’s most capped prop and represented his nation at the inaugural Rugby World Cup.
Since retirement he has remained involved in the game and spent time as the manager of the Ireland Under-21s side.
