Richard Wallace is an Irish international who played on the wing and was selected to tour with The British & Irish Lions in 1993 in New Zealand.
Born in Cork, Wallace won 29 international caps for Ireland and made his debut in 1991 against Namibia.
He is one of three brothers to have featured for the Irish rugby team – brothers Paul and David are also internationals and all three played for the Lions, although on separate Tours. Paul was selected four years later to tour South Africa, while David represented the Lions in 2001 and 2009.
Richard Wallace's club career saw him play for Garryowen, Munster and Saracens.
On the 1993 Tour of New Zealand he played in five fixtures for the Lions against Canterbury, Southland, Hawkes Bay, Waikato and Taranaki – in the last of the games he scored a try.
