University of St Andrews forward Robert Stevenson was part of Dr Tommy Smyth’s 1910 British & Irish Lions Tour to South Africa.
The Scotsman played 15 games for Smyth’s Lions, including all three Test matches, starting alongside captain Smyth and Cherry Pillman as the Englishman inspired an 8-3 second-Test win.
Stevenson’s only try came in the first of two provincial games with Border, which the Lions own 30-10.
