Rory Underwood is England’s all-time leading try scorer with 49 scores and has also started more Tests than any other England back.

He is a former Royal Air Force pilot and also played for Leicester Tigers on more than 200 occasions, before switching to Bedford in the twilight of his career.

Underwood played for England 85 times, amassing more than 200 international points, while he also featured in the 1987, 1991 and 1995 World Cups.

His performances for Leicester and England also saw him selected for both The 1989 British & Irish Lions Tour of Australia and also the visit four years later to New Zealand. He played in all six Test matches across the two Tours.

He eventually retired from international rugby in 1996 and spent the last four years of his England career playing alongside his younger brother Tony, a fellow Lions tourist in 1993 and four years later once his brother had retired.
