Thomas Sydney ‘Sid’ Bevan toured with The British & Irish Lions to New Zealand and Australia in 1904.
The Welsh forward finished his career with only one Wales Test cap, but he appeared in all four Tests for the Lions that year as they swept the Wallabies 3-0 and lost their solitary clash with the All Blacks.
Born in Morriston – Bevan made 17 appearances in all on the Tour and scored three tries.
Bevan served in the Great War as a 2nd Lieutenant in the 6th Btn, of the Welch Regiment. He died on 17th October 1933 aged 56.
