Edward ‘Teddy’ Morgan was a Welsh winger who captained his country in their first international fixture against France in 1908 and made four Test appearances for the British & Irish Lions.

After touring Australia and New Zealand with the Lions in 1904, where he scored seven tries in 13 appearances, Morgan is remembered for scoring the try that helped Wales beat the All Blacks in 1905-06.

Morgan earned 16 caps for his country in total, scoring 14 tries, but is best remembered for that try which saw New Zealand record their only defeat in the 35 matches of that 1905-06 tour.
