Aberdare-born William Morgan toured New Zealand and Australia with the Lions in 1908, appearing in two of the Tests against the All Blacks.

Morgan made 15 appearances in total on that Tour and scored his only try in a Lions shirt in a 3-0 win over New South Wales Waratahs.

Morgan went on to win a sole cap for Wales, against Scotland in 1910, and played the majority of his club rugby for Cardiff although later would often turn out for French team Stade Bordelais.
