Lions Australia Tour 2013

British & Irish Lions contender Chris Paterson will take over the Edinburgh Gunners captaincy for the Celtic League trip to Neath-Swansea Ospreys.

Todd Blackadder has shoulder problems and will be rested for the game allowing Scotland international Paterson to return from RBS 6 Nations duty as skipper for the game against the league leaders.

Edinburgh head coach Frank Hadden said: "We are really looking forward to the game at the weekend.

"We have won six out of our last seven matches and with the international players back in the fold we will be travelling to The Gnoll with a great deal of confidence.

"We are aware of the difficulty of this task – The Ospreys have bravely gambled with their recruitment policy and put together a formidable squad.

"They thoroughly deserve to be top of the league but we fully intend to do everything we can to spoil their winning party on Saturday night."
