Craig Gillies’ Rugby Football Union disciplinary hearing for stamping on Bristol’s Joe El Abd has been adjourned pending a possible additional charge for a similar offence.

Worcester’s Gillies already faced punishment for being sent off at the Memorial Stadium on April 7 but may also suffer additional censure.

This follows a report from independent citing officer Peter Larter regarding an incident earlier in the game, involving the same players, contrary to Law 10 (4) b.

The case will now be heard before this coming weekend’s Guinness Premiership fixtures, at a time and venue to be confirmed.
