Monty set for Bok century

Springbok full back Percy Montgomery is all set to win his 100th international cap if, as expected, he is named in Peter de Villiers’ 22-man squad for this Saturday’s clash with the All Blacks.

De Villiers is due to name his line up for the Boks’ fourth Tri Nations fixture of the year later today with Montgomery almost certain of at least a spot among the replacements.

The 34-year-old World Cup winner is already the most-capped player in South African history, as well as his country’s leading scorer with more than 900 points to his name in 11 seasons of international rugby.

If selected for Saturday’s match in Cape Town, Montgomery will be facing the All Blacks for the 19th time in his career, the same number of occasions on which he has taken the field against the Wallabies.
