HSBC and Jonathan Davies search for Cubs in the Brecon Beacons

HSBC ambassador and former dual code Welsh legend Jonathan Davies spent Easter Monday at the Brecon RFC Mini Rugby Festival supporting hundreds of youngsters in an annual grassroots festival.

More than 550 boys and girls aged between 7 and 11 took part in the festival which was watched by hundreds of spectators including Jonathan Davies.

The Brecon festival is just one of a series of grassroots initiatives that Principal Partner HSBC is undertaking in the build-up to this summer's British & Irish Lions Tour to Australia. At each of the events being staged across the UK and Ireland HSBC is once again searching for some youngsters to become HSBC Cubs and win a once in a lifetime opportunity to train with the British & Irish Lions squad before they depart for Tour.

Cubs are being selected by the festival referees as those who have best demonstrated the values of the Game and will be taken by HSBC to The Lions training camp in Wales in May where they will train with members of the squad.

This weekend more Cubs will be chosen at a special coaching clinic being staged by HSBC Ireland in Dublin, under the watchful eye of HSBC ambassador Brian O'Driscoll.
