Bad boy Beale could be back soon

The 23-year-old Beale is currently being managed by the Australian Rugby Union after he punched a team mate after a record defeat in South Africa. Beale agreed to undergo counselling and no time limit was put on his period on the sidelines.

Now Rebels coach Damien Hill has forecast changes to his Super Rugby line-up, with the possible inclusion of the wayward Wallabies star, in the wake of his side’s last-ditch loss to the Southern Kings.

Hill is hopeful the suspended Beale will be available for selection as the side attempts to regroup after its shattering 30-27 loss. Their next challenge is against the heavyweight Crusaders at their Christchurch fortress.

It has been three weeks since Beale was sent home in disgrace from South Africa and suspended indefinitely. Hill claims Beale is ''exceptionally keen to get back and play with the guys'', but he still needs a green light from counsellors.

Melbourne dominated the Kings from the opening whistle, but struggled to convert their pressure into points. The early loss of Kingi with knee ligament damage was a major blow and he is expected to be out of action for between eight and 12 weeks, which means he will miss the Rebels’ clash with the British & Irish Lions.
