The 1888 Cup 2025 Ticket Ballot – Frequently Asked Questions
There will be a fan ballot to purchase tickets for the Lions 1888 Cup fixture, when the Lions take on Argentina in Dublin on 20 June 2025. There are 12,200 tickets available exclusively for the Lions fanbase. If you are not already signed up to the Lions fanbase you can do so for free here.
The ballot will open at 10:00am Wednesday 10 April 2024 for a period of three weeks.
Any supporter who is a subscriber to the Lions Rugby fanbase, it’s simple to sign up here and once you have done so, you will be able to enter the ballot from 10:00am Wednesday 10 April until 23:59pm Wednesday 1 May 2024.
The ballot closes at 23:59 Wednesday 1 May 2024.
There will be a very limited number of tickets available from €38, with the next category tickets starting from €95, with junior tickets (U16) from €48.
We will notify all ballot winners on Friday 3 May 2024. If you are not successful, you will be automatically entered onto our list for any unclaimed tickets from the ballot. Should any tickets become available, we will notify you of the process and timings.
Digital tickets will be issued approximately one month before the match; physical tickets are not available for this match. Please ensure you have the correct mobile and email address on your account when you complete your purchase.
Chances are dependent on the total number of people who enter the ballot.
The ballot will be for 12,200 tickets, with 6,100 successful ballot winners drawn.
You will have the option to purchase a pair of tickets which will be seated together. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the ballot process, it will not be possible to purchase additional adjoining tickets.
You will be eligible to purchase two tickets (one pair).
Unfortunately not, however, when signing up to the ballot, you will be able to select your preferences for which category of ticket you would like. If successful in the ballot, we will allocate according to preferences as far as possible. We cannot guarantee first preferences.
When tickets are issued for sale, you’ll receive a dedicated purchase link to complete the transaction. Please note, in order to speed up the transaction, we recommend you set up an account with Ticketmaster.ie before the sale window opens. You will be required to have an account to complete your ticket purchase.
You will receive your purchase link on Tuesday 7 May. Please note, the link will not go live for purchase until 10:00am on Wednesday 8 May. This link will be specific to your details and cannot be forwarded on. You will have a period of 48 hours until 9:59am Friday 10 May to claim your tickets.
Any unclaimed tickets will be released to an allocation to be released at a later date.
