Evans blow for Scots

Scotland have been dealt a blow ahead of tomorrow’s RBS 6 Nations wooden spoon decider with Italy after Max Evans was ruled out with an ankle injury.

Evans, who produced a moment of magic for Scotland's only try in the 22-16 loss to England at Twickenham, was initially selected but has been replaced by Nikki Walker.

"Our medical team have worked tirelessly as ever but Max is not quite right for the rigours of a Test match," said Scotland head coach Andy Robinson.

"We wish him a speedy recovery. Nikki has been part of our squad throughout the championship and played in our last Murrayfield international against Ireland.

"This is a golden opportunity for him now to produce a special performance.

"We approach tomorrow with confidence and determined to give the Murrayfield crowd a lot to cheer about."
