adidas today revealed a new online film featuring members of England’s cricket team and members of the British and Irish Lions coming together to provide a unique take on the forthcoming summer of sport.

Both the England cricket team and the Lions take on Australia home and away respectively and the film is the latest installment in the adidas #StandTogether campaign and showcases how much beating the Aussies means to each of the players.

Featuring over 18 sportstars, the film opens with Lions prop Adam Jones who places the needle on the record player to start the track which is followed by a series of scenes which his team mates and cricket counterparts take out their desire to win on anything and everything yellow.

From England’s record wicket taker Jimmy Anderson doing doughnuts in a yellow car until its engine blows and Wicketkeeper Matt Prior using a yellow guitar to smash a yellow cupcake into the covers, through to British and Irish Lions Captain, Sam Warburton staring down a yellow toy until it bursts into flames the film is an eclectic mix of moments which showcase how much the players want to get one over on Aussie Yellow this summer.

To prepare for the filming, Jimmy Anderson undertook an intensive stunt driving masterclass, perfecting the ultimate high speed doughnut which he performed live on set straight after his training. Alongside Anderson’s stunts, more random scenes included England pace bowler, Stuart Broad in the bath hitting a yellow rubber duck over mid-on and Irish and Lions Number 10, Jonny Sexton kicking a yellow toy train into touch.

The video will be used by adidas to encourage fans of both England cricket and the British and Irish Lions to comment on what it means to them to be taking on the Aussies this summer, with this conversation being housed on both Twitter and Facebook.
