British & Irish Lion Billy Twelvetrees insists he will continue to pitch in wherever he is needed for club side Gloucester after the 25-year-old has slotted in at fly-half recently.
With Freddie Burns struggling with his form this season, amidst continual speculation over his future, Twelvetrees has stepped in at No.12.
The former Leicester man spent the autumn internationals lining up at inside centre for England and was also called up to the Lions this summer as midfield cover.
But Nigel Davies has opted to use his star man at fly-half and Twelvetrees is not complaining.
“You have to put the team first and if Gloucester want me to play 10, 12, nine, second-row or whatever I will do it,” said Twelvetrees,
“I love playing 12 because of the physical side of the game.
“Any player that has switched between the two knows that they are very different but you realise how much a 12 can help a 10 by being vocal and a link between the backs.
“I’ve enjoyed the last two weeks at 10 and the responsibility of it.”
