Former Lion Jones hopeful prop Adam can find a club soon

Former British & Irish Lion Ryan Jones admits he is keeping his fingers crossed that Adam Jones’ future is sorted out sooner rather than later.

Adam Jones, who helped the British & Irish Lions secure a 201 series victory over Australia last summer, is currently without a club with the new season fast approaching.

The 33-year-old prop now faces a race against time to find a new home, and Ryan Jones – who toured New Zealand with the Lions in 2005 – is hopeful something will materialise as soon as possible.

"He is a national hero and an icon, yet he is currently without a contract or a club," Ryan Jones told Wales Online.

“He's an incredibly proud Welshman and does not get the credit he deserves.

"I hope for his sake it's sorted and he can get on with playing rugby."
