LionsWatch: Amos looking dangerous for Dragons

Newport Gwent Dragons might have slipped to a narrow defeat to Munster, but winger Hallam Amos enjoyed a great afternoon as he caused endless trouble on the left wing.

The Welsh international made his first appearance of the season against Zebre a week ago, and is clearly up to speed after an incisive performance against Rassie Erasmus’ team.

And in a British & Irish Lions season Amos will have caught the eye of Rob Howley, who has stepped into the shoes vacated by Lions Head Coach Warren Gatland, as Wales coach.

Amos racked up 113 metres with ball in hand and also chipped in with an interception try as he showed his searing pace to outstrip the Munster defence.

And while it wasn’t enough for the Dragons to get the win, Amos –who is currently studying medicine alongside his rugby – was on top form.

Another big shift from @hallam_amos for @dragonsrugby today! 7 carries, 113 metres made & a try #PRO12 #TopPerformer https://t.co/JqGVxCwazF
