The Lions Trust exists to connect, nurture and support Lions players in need, while embedding the core values of The British & Irish Lions throughout communities across England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
A Lions Tour is a unique event, built on the foundations of respect, unity, integrity and friendship. It is the ultimate honour, both on and off the pitch.
Since 1888, camaraderie has been fundamental to the Lions, and when a player takes off the red jersey, the Lions bond remains. A key priority of The Lions Trust is to ensure no Lion is left behind, delivering vital financial, medical, and wellbeing lifelines to former players in need so they can live with the dignity they deserve.
Beyond player care, the Trust drives meaningful grassroots engagement through the People. Place. Pride. programme, supporting meaningful engagement and tangible impact across rugby clubs, schools, charities and communities.
Reflecting the ultimate honour of the jersey, The Lions Trust is uniquely governed by legendary Lions players: Gavin Hastings (Chair); Tommy Bowe; Richard Hill; and Jamie Roberts.
