Double Grand Slam winner and 2005 Lions tourist Gavin Henson has been banned for two matches by his club the Ospreys.
Henson has only just returned to action following a five-month spell on the sidelines but he will now miss the Ospreys’ opening Heineken Cup fixtures against Leicester Tigers and Perpignan.
The Welsh region have decided not to go into detail regarding Henson’s suspension, with a club statement simply saying, “Gavin is excluded from the next two Ospreys fixtures following a rugby-related internal disciplinary decision".
Henson has started just one match so far this season – the EDF Energy Cup win over Harlequins last weekend – and his latest setback means he will have had little game time prior to Wales’ autumn internationals next month.
